EASTERN CANADA GRAVEL CUP - THE KIN VINEYARDS' FALL GRALLY

08-SEPT-2019

KIN Vineyaards Fall Grally

Welcome to the encore event of the EASTERN CANADA GRAVEL CUP p/b euro-sports.   Although it won't count for points it'll be the same format and a preview of next years KIN event. The terrain is modest and a perfect way for the more experienced gravel riders to let their legs fly and the lesser experienced gravel riders to tackle mixed surface riding with their mates.

THE KIN VINEYARDS' FALL GRALLY - COMPETITIVE COURSE (10 AM START)

Eastern Canada Gravel Cup - Event #6

Even though this course showcases  400m of vertical ascent, it features very few flat sections.  The constant pace of the ride will take it's toll on even the fittest riders.  Plan your nutrition accordingly and don't let the other riders sneak away while you're chowing down on some gummy cubes.  It will make for a much longer day in the saddle

After a short neutral section this 71 km km course begins at Vaughan Side Rd just outside of the town of Carp.  After traversing a network of gravel roads around Kinburn, the riders will be making their way down Torbolton Ridge, where they will have a great view of the Ottawa River and Gatineau Hills.  After enjoying the scenery, the riders will be climbing the signature Needhams Side Rd, a 700m unmaintained road section that is sure to create cracks in the group.  It is here that the more technically adept riders will gain an advantage. The last stretch begins on Old Coach Rd with picturesque views of the Carp Ridge before the finish at KIN Vineyards.
